Singapore’s Government extended lockdown by four weeks till 1st June

Singapore’s government has extended the nationwide lockdown to control the coronavirus by four weeks till 1st June, 2020. Prime minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong has taken this decision today after sharp increase in coronavirus cases in Singapore.

While addressing the nation today, he said that country will pay special attention to older workers, look after health, welfare and livelihood of migrant workers just like Singaporeans and will make arrangements for Muslim workers as Ramadan begins in few days’ time and Aidilfitri in next month.
Coronavirus cases have increased sharply by 1,111 today in Singapore. As of date, the country has reported 9,125 infections cases, 11 deaths and 801 have been recovered.
