Banking Khabar/ Personal savings in banks and financial institutions have surged by nearly NPR 500 billion. According to data from Nepal Rastra Bank, personal savings and deposits grew by NPR 480.32 billion in the fiscal year 2080/081.
In addition to individuals, various companies, government bodies, and funds deposit their savings in banks and financial institutions. Personal deposits alone have seen an increase of nearly NPR 500 billion in just one year. As of the end of Ashad 2080, personal deposits in banks and financial institutions totaled NPR 3.559 trillion, which has now risen to NPR 4.039 trillion. Personal deposits in commercial banks alone amount to NPR 3.527 trillion, according to the data from Nepal Rastra Bank.
