Newly Appointed Governor Paudel Takes Oath of Office

Banking News – Newly appointed Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Bishwanath Paudel, has officially taken the oath of office. He was sworn in by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Prakash Man Singh Raut.

Following the oath, Governor Paudel proceeded to the Ministry of Finance, where he is scheduled to attend a brief meeting, according to Suman Neupane, spokesperson for Nepal Rastra Bank.

Afterward, he will head to the central bank to assume his official duties. Dr. Paudel was appointed as the 18th Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank by the government on Tuesday. As per constitutional provisions, governors appointed by the cabinet are required to take their oath of office before the Chief Justice.
