Banking Khabar / Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today.
According to the central bank, the buying rate for one U.S. dollar stands at NPR 151.44, while the selling rate has been set at NPR 152.04.
The buying rate for one euro is NPR 173.69 and the selling rate is NPR 174.38. Similarly, the UK pound sterling is valued at NPR 200.06 for buying and NPR 200.85 for selling, while the Swiss franc stands at NPR 189.18 (buying) and NPR 189.93 (selling).
Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is set at NPR 104.10 (buying) and NPR 104.51 (selling), the Canadian dollar at NPR 108.63 and NPR 109.06, and the Singapore dollar at NPR 117.39 and NPR 117.86 respectively.
The Japanese yen (per 10 units) has a buying rate of NPR 9.49 and a selling rate of NPR 9.53. The Chinese yuan is priced at NPR 21.93 (buying) and NPR 22.01 (selling). Likewise, the Saudi riyal stands at NPR 40.36 and NPR 40.52, while the Qatari riyal is set at NPR 41.55 and NPR 41.71.
According to the central bank, the Thai baht is valued at NPR 4.61 (buying) and NPR 4.62 (selling), the UAE dirham at NPR 41.24 and NPR 41.40, and the Malaysian ringgit at NPR 37.40 and NPR 37.55.
Similarly, 100 South Korean won is priced at NPR 9.92 (buying) and NPR 9.96 (selling). The Swedish krona stands at NPR 15.86 and NPR 15.93, while the Danish krone is set at NPR 23.25 and NPR 23.34.
The Hong Kong dollar is valued at NPR 19.32 (buying) and NPR 19.39 (selling). Among Gulf currencies, the Kuwaiti dinar is set at NPR 493.37 and NPR 495.32, the Bahraini dinar at NPR 401.70 and NPR 403.29, and the Omani riyal at NPR 393.35 and NPR 394.90.
The exchange rate for the Indian rupee (per 100 units) has been fixed at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank stated that these rates are subject to revision at any time as necessary. It also noted that exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
