Gen Z 2.0 draws government’s attention to rising fuel prices

Banking Khabar / Gen Z 2.0 has drawn the government’s attention to the continuous rise in prices of petroleum products and other essential goods, expressing serious concern over the growing burden on the public.

In a statement issued by the organization’s spokesperson, Avin Limbu, it was noted that recent fuel price hikes have significantly increased costs across transportation, food, construction, and daily consumer goods. The statement highlighted that these rising expenses are making everyday life increasingly difficult for ordinary citizens, with middle- and low-income groups being the hardest hit.

Emphasizing the need for a sensitive assessment of the current economic situation, the organization urged the government to take timely and effective action. Through the statement, Gen Z 2.0 put forward the following demands:

  • Ensure transparency in the pricing mechanism of petroleum products.
  •  Review taxes and customs duties to implement price control measures.
  •  Introduce long-term policies and programs to curb inflation.
  • Immediately roll out relief programs for the general public.

The organization also expressed expectations that the government will make responsible and responsive decisions, prioritizing overall economic stability and the welfare of its citizens.
