Banking Khabar / The department reports that Gharbari Sewa, SK Home Real Estate Company, Nepal Land Broker, and Himalayan Realtors have already been granted licenses to operate land service centers.
The government has decided that from Tuesday, real state transactions worth more than Rs. 30 million must be done only through licensed companies.
The department sent instructions to several Land Revenue and Land Reform offices across the country, including major offices in cities like Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Biratnagar, Birgunj, Janakpur, Pokhara, Butwal, and Dhangadhi.
Earlier, the rule was announced on February 11 and was supposed to become mandatory from February 25. However, it was suspended on February 19 until licensed companies were ready to operate land service centers.
Now, the department has reactivated the rule, saying transactions should go through licensed companies using the geo-information system as required by law. The earlier suspension will remain lifted only once those companies are fully authorized to run land service centers.
