Banking Khabar / Machhapuchchhre Bank has received two prestigious international banking awards for its performance in customer service, digital innovation, and risk management.
The bank won the Platinum Award in the “Maximizing Customer Engagement” category at the Infosys Finacle Innovation Awards 2026. The award recognizes the bank’s “Reinventing Customer Onboarding” initiative, which aims to make account opening and access to banking services simpler, easier, and more efficient for customers.
The Infosys Finacle Innovation Awards recognize banks and financial institutions that demonstrate outstanding work in technology and innovation. More than 500 entries were submitted from around the world for the 2026 awards, with Machhapuchchhre Bank securing the Platinum Award in its category.
The bank also received an international award for its risk management practices. At the Fourth Emerging Asia Banking Conclave and Awards 2026, organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce in New Delhi, the bank was recognized in the “Best Performance on Risk Management” category.
According to the bank, the award was presented in recognition of its approach to managing credit, operational, market, and liquidity risks, as well as its focus on safe and responsible banking practices.
The two awards highlight the bank’s growing focus on digital transformation and risk management. In recent years, Machhapuchchhre Bank has expanded its use of technology in digital banking, customer experience, and risk management.
The bank has previously received several international and regional recognitions. According to the bank, it won a Gold Award at the Infosys Finacle Innovation Awards in 2023, followed by the “Excellence in POS Acquiring Business” award at the Visa Leadership Conclave in 2024. It also received recognition at the Infosys Finacle Innovation Awards in 2025.
In 2025, the bank also received the “Rising Star in Asset Quality” award at the Third Emerging Asia Banking Conclave and Awards, organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce.
The latest two awards further recognize Machhapuchchhre Bank’s efforts in customer-focused banking, digital innovation, and risk management at the international level.
