Prabhu bank signs an agreement with Sakchyam for a project

Prabhu Bank has signed an Agreement with UK Aid Sakchyam Access to Finance for a partnership a project titled “Wealth-Building Financial Services for Nepali Migrant Workers and their Remittance Receiving Family Members” under Sakchyam Challenge Fund. The partnership was officially announced in Kathmandu by signing and exchanging of agreement certificates between Mr. Ashok Sherchan, Chief Executive Officer, Prabhu Bank Limited and Mr. Nirmal Dahal, Team Leader, Sakchyam in the presence of senior management of both the organizations and media.

The overall goal of this project is to enable overseas Nepalese workers in South Korea and India; and families of Nepalese overseas workers in India to build and protect their wealth by enhancing their access and utilization of financial services linked to their remittances.

Addressing the event, Mr. Ashok Sherchan, CEO, Prabhu Bank Ltd. expressed that this partnership will help to offer “wealth-building package” that combines purposive savings with additional financial services (credit, insurance) and non-financial services (financial education and business development support) in order to encourage long-term savings and to enable migrant workers and their families to better meet their financial goals.
