Nepal Bank Signs Agreement Under Trade Assistance Program Of Export-Import Bank (Exim Bank) Of India

Bankingkhabar/ Nepal Bank has signed an agreement with Exim Bank under its Trade Assistance Program. The program aims to support trade related with India by providing loans and guarantees and fill the market gaps of trade finance.

Nepal Bank, is also the 1st government bank to be a partner of Exim Bank, to support the import transactions with India. The signing comes after exhaustive discussions with the senior management of both banks in the areas of Nepal Bank’s financials, governance, risk and compliance and ongoing trade transactions between the two countries.

The agreement between the two institutions have been signed on November 7,2023 and Nepal Bank is very much optimistic to support incremental exports from India to Nepal under TAP. The acting CEO Ms. Pant has outlined that “We are delighted to have a trade agreement with EXIM Bank India, and we look forward to utilize the program in supporting the trade activities of our customers and we further plan to explore the key areas of collaboration with Exim Bank India.
