House of Representatives Begins Deliberations on FY 2083/84 Budget Today

Banking Khabar / The House of Representatives is set to begin discussions on Nepal’s budget for Fiscal Year 2083/84 from today.

Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle had presented the Rs. 2.124 trillion budget before the Federal Parliament on Jestha 15. The budget outlines the government’s revenue and expenditure plans for the upcoming fiscal year.

During today’s House meeting, scheduled for 1:00 PM, Finance Minister Wagle will table a proposal to initiate general discussions on the annual estimates of revenue and expenditure for FY 2083/84.

Following the minister’s proposal, members of parliament will participate in the deliberations and express their views on various aspects of the budget, according to Padma Prasad Pandey, Secretary-General of the Federal Parliament.

The discussions are expected to focus on the budget’s priorities, implementation strategies, and its potential impact on Nepal’s economy and development agenda.
